GOOD NEWS. The Parish Council was successful in securing a National Lottery Awards for All grant, an amount of £2940 will go towards Great Yeldham BIG Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 5th June 2022.
To coincide with the Platinum Jubilee, Great Yeldham Parish Council will be hosting a Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 5th June at the Sports and Recreation Ground. Bring a picnic, blanket and chairs and join us for a fun packed afternoon.
- Our local celebrity singer Jean Faulkner singing a selection of 1950’s tunes
- DJ Bongo will have you bouncing with his percussion to electro swing musicality
- Our favourite entertainer Potty Patrick with * Magic * Puppets * Circus Fun * Games *Balloon Animals
- ***COMPETITIONS*** Talent Show *** Crowning Glory (best Crown) *** Royal Parade (fancy dress: Queen, King, Princess, and Prince) *** Bake Off (create a dessert/pud) join in the fun and win a memento of the day.
- Inflatables: 150ft Wipe Out Mega Obstacle Course, Bouncy Castle and Slide
- Giant Garden Games: 9 Hole Crazy Golf, Connect 4, Jenga, Snakes & Ladders and Dominoes
- Jubilee Arena: traditional games (wheelbarrow races, space hopper sprints, egg and spoon and more); Jubilee Scavenger Hunt and performances by pupils of Sophia’s Dance Movements & Exercise classes
- Local Stall Holders: Arts and Crafts, Tombola, Raffle
- The Waggon and Horses will be providing a pop up bar
A VIP seating area will be available for residents with mobility needs.
Parking at the event will be limited to Blue Badge holders, please contact the Parish Clerk to book your space.
A mini bus will be available to and from the recreation ground for local residents (details to follow/contact the Parish Clerk). If your able to please walk, run, cycle, skip or hop to the event.
