In response to residents concerns regarding the impact on the village of the two proposed prisons on land at Wethersfield Airbase, the Parish Council has become a member of the Wethersfield Airbase Scrutiny Committee (WASC). This page summarises the work of the WASC including minutes of meetings.
The Wethersfield Airbase Scrutiny Committee is constituted to consider, respond, suggest and actively engage with all stakeholders in connection with development proposals involving Wethersfield Airbase through collaboration with of other Local Parish Councils.
This committee is formed upon the statute of the Local Government Act 1972 Section 102.
