The Annual Parish Meeting
The Local Government Act 1972 states that ‘for every parish there shall be an Annual Parish Meeting for the purpose of discussing parish affairs’ . The Annual Parish Meeting must be held each year between March 1st and June 1st. The meeting is separate from the Parish Council and is open to all electors of Great Yeldham Parish, who have the right not only to attend but also to speak on any matter of local interest; it is an opportunity for the community to come together and discuss village life, get to know what has been going on over the year, meet your local organisations/groups and to give your views and ask questions.
The next Annual Parish Meeting is scheduled for Thursday 16th May 2024 at 7.00 pm in the Reading Room and will exhibit draft plans for the new play equipment on Bowtells Meadow.
